The Omnisoul Archive

Omnisoul formed in Newark, Delaware in 2002 by a group of University of Delaware students. The band gigged across the East Coast, released the EP Climbing Ladders and the LP Happy Outside, and signed to Wind-up Records, recording at Avatar Studios in New York with producer Gregg Wattenberg. Songs from those sessions appeared on the Fantastic Four soundtrack and Madden 07. The band was renamed The Crash Motive ahead of the album's 2007 release and broke up the following year. Members reunited under the Omnisoul name in 2024 at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia for the 20th anniversary of Happy Outside. Singer and guitarist Derek Fuhrmann passed away in July 2025.
